yes, 1 in every 100 babies born are born with a congenital heart defect. This often means invasive surgeries and procedures to save their little lives.
There are so many babies dealing with this and it is everywhere. No one is immune. Of course there is Trevor, then our good friends, local friends whose son is also a heart baby, a co worker of Zate’s has a niece with a CHD. A friend from Nicholas’ school, the lead singer of Sanctus Real, Matt and his wife Sarah just had Bowen and they are already on this “roller coaster”. Of course we know of hundreds of people and children dealing with this. Many have lost their battle and are angels watching over the rest of us cheering us on to save more lives.
Lord, my prayer is that we can fund the research needed for our son’s future and for each and every child born with a CHD.
