Trevor plays soccer!

Zate and I are so excited and just THRILLED that our “heart baby” can play soccer. He may not be very good ;o) but that’s not the point! Here are some pics of day one. Thankfully at this age he is still able to play and do anything he wants since he will self limit, I hope he is able to play and do EVERYTHING he ever wants to.

2011 was a good year, Trevor didn’t have any major issues and the minor ones were resolved easily! Praise God for our sweet & sassy miracle boy

Buzz Lightyear and Woody

Trevor LOVES Buzz Lightyear and he and Nicholas are often “playing” Toy Story. I found these adorable pj’s that looked like Buzz & Woody were alive and running around my house! Well yesterday Trevor had his trusty Buzz pj’s on and took the Woody doll outside and was playing with him…you know throwing him into trees and rescuing him. Poor Woody even took a trip over the fence to the neighbor’s yard. Oops!

Trevor did a great job participating in the Christmas program, Nicholas is our “nonparticipating” son Nick was always hiding behind someone else in his preschool programs. Heart parents understand that getting to see our children in a play, or school photo etc…is super fun and a milestone. I am so grateful Trevor gets to attend preschool and do parties and programs like the other kids <3

Hello all! It’s been a while since I posted and usually that is a good sign (no news is good news) but I want to make an effort to post more regularly and include “everyday life” of our little family.

FYI: Congenital Heart Defects Awareness Week is February 7-14th I always like to do something special during this week. Let me know if you are interested in participating or have any ideas to share <3

Praying for our heart buddies

It seems that the heart world goes through cycles and everyone (that I know) does well for a while then in a flash so many are struggling. This is an emotional life and I tend to give each little heart hero part of myself. Please pray with me and keep these fighters in your heart everyday.

Update on Trevor

Thank you all for your prayers and support over the past few days. I will admit I was pretty stressed out and very scared that Trev would need some sort of intervention. This is something we know to expect but not so soon from his last open heart surgery.

Having just moved to the Austin area we had to see a new doctor, meet new nurses and it was all very overwhelming honestly. Trevor was scared and crying and I hate that feeling more than anything.

The good news is that Trevor’s heart is doing fine, all the measurements are the same as they were 4 months ago when we saw Dr. Suh That was amazing news!

So what is going on? Why is he sleeping 16 hrs a day, not eating well and having “pain” in his chest? Well we have a plan and will rule out causes and only if necessary get more tests/blood work etc…

Zate and I both really liked Dr Shaffer and his nurse Julie, that was half the battle

Please keep praying for Trevor as we work through the issues, we appreciate all your support.

Trying not to worry

Hello everyone,

It’s been a while since I’ve posted about Trevor and usually that is a good thing. “No news is good news”. We moved over the summer to the Austin area and are getting settled in.

Trevor is in Preschool and LOVING it! He is learning so much and getting really good at writing his name He is making friends and being a great helper for Mommy.

When we moved I had the name of a cardiologist and I set up an appt for Trevor, so we could get established. That appt is next week Tuesday, Oct 4th. I am REALLY glad it’s coming up because Trevor has been tiring more easily and having chest pain. I hate to see this but praying and believing that it’s not a fast pass to his next surgery. It’s been 2 1/2 yrs but we were hoping for 5+ yrs until we had to deal with this. Please be in prayer for the appt and for Trevor’s overall heath. I wish I could see inside his chest.

I will update after the appt.

Urgent Prayer Request

Our friends’ little boy Izaak needs your prayers for healing and for direction of the doctors, comfort for his mommy and daddy and the entire family.

Izaak is a CHD Warrior and is in the hospital, please pass this on. He is 16 months old.
